COVERS AND PRINTING

COVERS

Each box is covered with a thin cover.
The cover is usually paper with 90-150g of grammage. But sometimes it is also another material such as fabric, leather or flock.
The most common types of covers are:

  • COATED PAPER or white LABEL paper – Usually offset printing is done on such papers
  • DECORATIVE PAPER, colored in the mass – usually these are papers with 100-130g of grammage, smooth or with texture (mottle). Most often boxes covered with this type of paper do not have printing. They have embossing, or hot-stamping performed on them.
We offer a wide range of these papers from many reputable manufacturers.
  • OTHER COVERS such as bookbinding canvas, flock, leather and imitation leather, silks, etc. Only embossing or hot stamping is usually used on these types of materials. Serigraphy is also possible.

PRINTING

The subject of printing is so broad that a whole page could be written about it and still not be exhausted.
The most popular printing method is offset. Such printing is very precise and inexpensive (especially for large print runs). We will not describe the principles and possibilities of this technique.

SERIGRAPHY

Serigraphy is an old and noble printing technique. It has many limitations but is still often used because of its advantages. Serigraphy is not as precise as the offset. Such printing is characterized by a thick layer of ink. However, this prevents the base from shining through it. Serigraphy does not print images, and the use of rasters (small dots of ink through which tonal transitions are achieved) should be used with thought. It is usual to use such printing in 1 or 2 colors.
Serigraphy can also be considered a finishing technique, we describe it in a little more detail in the section with finishing.

DECORATIVE PAPERS

Luxury Boxes require luxury materials. The best way to achieve the perfect look is to use decorative paper.

Such papers can have many colors, different textures, and surfaces. They can have the addition of metalizing inks, and be matte, semi-matte, or glossy. We work with factories and suppliers of the best papers on the market.
Decorative papers are plentiful.
Black alone we have dozens in our offer.
Their offer is so wide that it is impossible to describe it here in full.
Very impressive is the use of papers of several colors in one implementation.

We will be happy to advise you in choosing the best one.

Boxes covered with such papers usually have additional finishing. Most often it is hot stamping or embossing. However, various other techniques can be used, including printing.
